Silk Shopping

Hello and happy Friday! Do you have any fun plans for today? I'm working until 4 so it's a short day for me, yay! Then we have friends coming over for BBQ.

A few days ago I went silk shopping. I actually got it as a Christmas present from my mom to pick out some items but I never did it until now haha. Silk is supposed to be much better for your skin and hair and I'm excited to see if I can feel or see any difference later. My hair is starting to get quite long and I sleep with my hair down at the moment, but now it's starting to annoy me. I have invisibobbles but they make marks on my hair even tho they are supposed not to. So I thought I would try silk scrunchies and silk pillowcases. It also feels like silk is more comfortable so sleep on than cotton. Have you tried it? ❤

First of June

Hello June! Now it's definitely summer. It's been +27 degrees celsius today and the sun has been out all day. I was of from work today as well so I could enjoy the beautiful weather. I also went to buy SPF. Believe me, I need it 😂 I have very fair skin and I get sun burned so easily.

I don't have a photo from today because I have been on the balcony most of the day, but sharing some recent photos from my Instagram instead. Happy Monday!

A Day in February

Hi lovelies! Just wanted to share some photos from yesterday. I know that I don't post a lot but I want to get better on that and hopefully things will get better when our kitchen is done. Our apartment is still a mess so I can't take any photos at home and outside it's always so dark and grey...

But yesterday was actually a beautiful day! Very cold but sunny and we even got some snow in the evening. I'm not happy about that though because I don't like snow.

We had crepes for lunch and it was delicious! I had a halloumi and tomato crepe, so tasty!

And then we shared a crepe filled with nutella, banana and ice cream on top. 😍

Kitchen Renovation Progress Photos

Right after Christmas, we started to renovate our kitchen, finally!! I have been waiting for this for so long now! I can't wait to have a brand new beautiful kitchen. Our old kitchen was just that, old haha! It was from 1955/56 when the house was built and I did not like it at all. Some people like that style, but I don't. And it was not very good planned either. But soon we will have a new kitchen and I'm so happy!

Our current living room situation... Everything from our kitchen we have moved into our living room in boxes etc. And the oven is there too. We can't use it but we are going to sell it later so that's why we still have it.

The fridge is in the hallway, very nice... or not haha

This is how the kitchen looks right now. It's going forward! And in about an hour my dad will come here and put the new floor in and then we can continue with the kitchen cabinets.

The Nutcracker at The Royal Opera

I and my friend went to the opera yesterday to see The Nutcracker. It was our first time at the opera and we were so amazed! It was so incredibly beautiful. Both the building and the ballet. The dancers were so good and I did not want it to end. I definitely want to see more ballet at the opera now. And I kind of want to start dancing myself haha! I did some ballet when I was around 14 because I had dancing in school so that was included, and I really loved it. But outside school, I trained gymnastics so I had no time for ballet. But I think it's so beautiful!

Flower Bouquet And Thoughts About School...

How gorgeous are those flowers?? Kevin got them on his birthday from his family and they are so beautiful. And I borrowed them for some photos hehe... of course. They are standing in our living room right now and I just can't stop looking at them.

This week I'm working a little and studying for my test which is next week on Thursday. I have to admit that I hate to study. I really don't miss school and I'm so happy that I study from home because that makes it a little bit easier because I feel comfortable at home. But I don't think I will ever go back to a "real school" like uni, where you have to go every day. Most of my friends are going to uni and it feels like according to society, you should go to uni, but it's not for everyone. It's not for me. Everyone is different. But I'm so happy for my friend who is one of my best friends because she just got into MED SCHOOL which is sooooo cool! I'm so happy and proud of her. She really deserves it. ♡♡♡

New Blog Design!

As you can see, I have a new blog design! Before I had a grid-style blog design (this one) and it looked beautiful and I had it for a couple of years. But I personally think it's easier to read a blog with a scroll-down design rather than a grid-style, so now I have changed and it feels so good. I purchased my new design from BestForBlogger at Etsy and it was so cheap. I was so surprised that a beautiful blog design like this can be so cheap. And I got 3 designs in 1 actually, because I can change to grid-style or gallery-style if I want to, they came in the same file. How great?! And I also needed some help with the slider gadget so I emailed the owner Jenny, and she replied within 5 minutes so really good service and very helpful. I highly recommend buying a blog design from her. This design was as easy to install as my previous one and that one was much more expensive! I'm so happy with my new design. I think it looks very clean but cute.

I might change my header later thought. I'm not really pleased with it. And yes I made it myself if you can't tell haha. I would like to get a header by a professional, but we will see.

Now I'm off to the gym! I should study but.... I prefer to workout hihi. I will try to study after. I promise...

Rooftop pool views ♡

We stayed at Hotel Saratoga and I highly recommend it! The staff was so friendly, kind and sweet.

If you live in Europe, Palma is the perfect weekend destination. It has everything. Beaches, shopping, good food and cultural things and attractions if you like that.

Breakfast time!! The breakfast buffet had everything, it was so good!

Shop til you drop, literally haha!

Life Update // I Quit My Job!! + My EX-Job Work Story

Vest Zara // Sweater Zara // Pants Gina Tricot // Shoes DinSko // Bag DKNY

Hello there! I have started to blog and share some outfits here more lately and I want and will do more of that, but I thought I would give you a life update as well because things are changing over here.

Over the last months, I have been feeling really bad. Almost as bad as my second last year in school where I hit the wall and almost got depressed. And it was due to my work.

I have mentioned before in a blog post more than a year ago (I sounded very excited back then, but I did not know what would happen later...) that I work (now workED) at Uniqlo. I was in the first Uniqlo Sweden and Scandinavia Team ever and we opened the first store in Sweden and in Scandinavia. And I'm glad that I got to experience that because the opening was pretty cool (and crazy), so I have experienced some good moments too. But I knew from the first week at Uniqlo that the company wasn't for me. We were a month in a Training Centre first (but I was luckily there for just 8 days because I went on vacation to Thailand) and it felt like a military camp. Seriously. It was awful and horrible. And so weird. But my parents told me to keep going and also I wanted to see what it was like to work in the actual store later. So I kept going and decided that I'm going to stay for a year to get experience because it's good to have on your resume that you have been working in the same place for at least a year. So time went on and I felt more and more that this company is not for me. It's not the kind of store I want to work in. It felt more like a factory than a clothing store. We don't share the same values and also the work ethic there was so bad. And different from how we work in Sweden. All the managers came from other countries so of course, that's why, and I understand it in some way. But if they have been treated like they treated us there whole life, I kind of feel sorry for them. Because they treated us like trash. But I'm good at not taking things personally so I was okay. I went home after work and tried to not think about it.

But in March I started to feel bad. Not only because the management was bad, but other things also made me feel bad but I won't talk about them here. Every day it got worse and suddenly I had anxiety every time I was going to go to work. And on my free days, I wasn't able to relax because I had anxiety over that tomorrow I will be back at work again. And even though I have been doing so many fun things this past year, like buying an apartment for example (more about that later), I haven't been able to fully enjoy it and be 100 % happy. I have always had this work anxiety in the back of my head. So in July when I went on vacation for 3 weeks, I knew that I have to change this.

I started to apply for jobs, went on an interview and it felt so good afterward. The store manager was the sweetest ever and we got a really good connection. And two weeks after she called me and said that I had got the job and that she immediately felt like I was the one for the job, and it made me so happy! By then I had started to work again so the day after I resigned at Uniqlo and now 1 month later I'm FINALLY OUT OF THERE!!!!! And it feels so good and I feel happy. I will now have more time for my family, my boyfriend, my friends and my hobbies 🖤🖤🖤.

So now I have two weeks of "vacation/free time" before I start my new job and I will also study on the side which I look forward to so much. I think I'm finally ready to go back to school haha! So now I will be at home for a week and then go to Spain with my mom for a few days to really unwind, relax, start over and just have a good time. I'm so excited!!

^^ I cut my hair yesterday! Best feeling ever. But now I have to learn how to style a bob, help haha!

Cherry Blossom

If you follow me on Instagram, you have probably seen my cherry blossom tree photos, and I'm so sorry but I will continue to spam you with them haha! But they are just soooo beautiful! And the best, these trees are right outside my work so I see them every day! ♡♡♡
